Daytime classes meet: SCC – West Burlington, Room 433, a variety of day classes meet 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday depending eligibility. Final schedule will be given at the end of orientation.

CAPP Grant Program is a provision for community-based grantees to implement an evidence-based pregnancy prevention curriculum within a middle or high school or a youth servicing organization. The coalitions collaborate with schools, churches, businesses, youth and their families to provide medically accurate and age appropriate programming which is comprehensive and promotes sexual health and responsible decision making.

This organization receives state and federal programs to promote and implement early childhood services to families up through age five. The funds are allocated to community providers of services through the Grant process. Programs funded include Quality Child Care/Preschool programs; Family Support Services programs; dental programs. Funds received by the ECIA Board are given out to community providers through a grant process. Each program funded have their own acceptance and admission criteria.

Staff members provide quality leadership and services, through partnerships that support efforts to improve the achievement of every learner. AEA provides curriculum development and integration, consultative services for math, reading & science professional development & learning, environmental education, in-service assistance, media/library services, print/production assessment services, technology support & service, research, planning, development and evaluation, school-community planning, student activities. Special education staff members provide services for individuals from birth to age 21 which allow them to become active participants in their own environment. This is accomplished through the following services: speech and language, hearing/audiology services, social work, early childhood/ at risk, special education consultation, transition services, visually impaired, autism resource, assistive technology, occupational, and physical therapy.

The Nest of Des Moines County is a Parent Education Program for prenatal and parents (male or female). Nest participants must be pregnant or have a child 5 years old or younger. They are are encouraged to bring a support person with them to the Nest Classes. Those enrolled in the Nest Family Support Program receive points for attending Nest classes; which are then redeemed for "New Store Incentive Items" at the Nest in Burlington. All must call, the Burlington Nest, to make an appointment to register.
