    Nov. 4 - Power of Humor Participate in improv exercises to help you loosen up, laugh a bit, and explore the power of humor. Miss Sarah will lead activities and provide take away tips on stress relief which are effective for work and every day life. Check out some materials related to humor at the event. Nov. 18 - Pie Baking 101 What is Thanksgiving without PIE?!  Need some help with your pastry skills? Let the library help you whip up some culinary magic with our "Pie Baking 101" class. Attendees will leave with 1 pie in a foil pan ready to be baked at home.  Registration is necessary and attendees should bring a rolling pin. Register by calling the library at 319-753-1647. Nov. 25 - DeStress the Turkey The holidays are upon us. Time to relax a little while at your library. Participate in some gentle (chair) yoga, learn a few message methods, and share experiences on mindfulness and meditation.

Storytime Classes for Birth through Third Grade

  1. Wiggle Time

    Wiggle Time is a music and movement class for toddlers and their caregivers. This program builds on the early literacy skills established in babygarten and focuses on the 5 building blocks of early literacy: read, write, sing, talk, and play! Toddlers and their caregivers interact together through songs, rhymes, various forms of storytelling, and the use of props such as scarves, puppets, and musical instruments. Please register!
