  1. 17th Annual Genealogy Workshop

    Join us as we welcome this year's speaker, MICHAEL L. STRAUSS, AG. He is the principal owner of Genealogy Research Network and an Accredited Genealogist since 1995. He is a native of Pennsylvania and a resident of Utah and has been an avid genealogist for more than 30 years. Strauss holds a BA in History and is a United States Coast Guard veteran. He will be speaking a variety of topics such as military records, federal court records, and descendany research. This event costs $8 dollars for the Friday evening presentation, $15 for the Saturday workshop, and $20 for both Friday night and Saturday. We will also have are free classes during the day on Friday. You can register by calling the library at 319.753.1647, on our website at or by printing a copy of the registration and mailing it to the library. Space is limited. Reserve your spot today.

    Join us for a fun night of food, games and projects! 6th-12th graders can make a huge difference! We are a Junior Optimist Club with a library focus. We do projects for the library and in the community. We would love for you to get involved! Find out what happened on our trip to Des Moines.
